Pamela Adams

Pamela AdamsAs a yoga teacher Pam’s intention is to provide an opportunity to explore, celebrate and accept the uniqueness each participant brings to their mat. She believes the power to join body, mind and spirit resides in each of us and can promote profound joy and harmony. Pam feels the collective energy of each class combines with her interactive style to create a unique and personal experience. With a Hatha foundation, heavily influenced by Kundalini, Vinyasa and Anusara, there is equal attention to breath, each pose (asana) and its counter pose, as well as to transitions and the integrative resting poses that follow.

Her first yoga experience in 1976, provided much-needed rejuvenation for Pam, as a single mother of two active boys. In the three decades that followed, her practice was sporadic. In 2000, she knew yoga was meant to be a major part of her life.

During the past decade she experienced and studied a variety of styles: Hatha, Kundalini, Vinyasa and Anusara. Pam also developed a strong interest in yoga therapy which led to training at Phoenix Rising. She has 200 hour certifications in both Yoga Therapy and Hatha Yoga. Her teaching experience includes seniors, beginners and intermediates. Her style includes laughter.

Since 2005, her other passion has been Thai Yoga Therapy. Pam continues to study with Michael Buck of the Vedic Conservatory and hopes to return to Thailand next year to continue her growth in this healing art. She has provided traditional thai massage to children, teenagers, women and men.
