Kids Yoga |

Lotus Yoga Center is proud to offer “KIDS’ YOGA” every other Saturday (see Calendar)from 11:30 to 12:15pm. Eligible children will be age 4 through age 12. The fee is $12 for the first child in the family, and $6 for the second, etc (does anyone have triplets?!). Mom’s and Dad’s are welcome to join in. Peggy Chew, a certified Radiant Child Yoga Teacher who loves children, will be instructing. Please spread the word. If you are interested in attending, or know of someone who would be, let me know.
Kids’ Yoga will teach parents and caregivers a series of kundalini inspired yoga poses that will aid in digestion, sleep and overall health of their child. It is time set aside for bonding with your child and appreciating the gift that has been given to you. It is an opportunity to meet like minded parents in your community and offer support to one another through discussion and sharing. We move at a slow pace and enjoy the present moment.
It will give the children the confidence and tools to enhance their physical, emotional and social development through social interactions, repetition and play. Due to the alarming increase in child obesity, experts agree that young children need m ore structured and developmentally safe physical activity on a regular basis. Starting yoga at this age is a good way to build your child's foundation for a healthy and fit lifestyle.
