The breath is our life force. It carries nutrients into our body and removes toxins. Mastery of the breath is a foundation for: promoting health and vitality; opening the range and creativity of the emotions; controlling the moods; developing concentration; and promoting a feeling of connectedness to the body. When we control the breathing using different breath techniques, in conjunction with increasing the body's flexibility through gentle yoga movements, we benefit from the resulting physical and emotional well-being. (all levels)
